RedCare
- Telephone line constantly monitored
- Line can be used for other applications
- Multiple equipment types can be monitored
- Requires Redcare enabled telephone line
In order to comply with the code of practice for fire alarm installations (as set out in BS5839), it is recommended that the fire and intruder RedCARE connections are not combined (unless the systems were specifically designed to function under the standard for integrated systems BS7807). Fire and intruder alarms systems require different periods of stand-by battery back up. Dual linking may lead to an insufficient battery back up on fire alarm systems.
