Infra-red Sound Broadcast Systems

Infra-red Sound Broadcast Systems

Product Code: I/CH/IRPIL/400

An audio signal is fed into a radiator / modulator which wirelessly transmits the audio through the air by emitting an IR light from the front much like a torch.

A receiver in the transmission path converts this “light” signal back to audio and plays it to the user.

Assists with Equality Act (formerly DDA) Compliance

For almost three decades, a multitude of venues have chosen Infra-Red Transmission Systems, so that the hearing impaired can enjoy a production as much as any other member of the audience.

The Channel portable induction loop kit can be easily installed to help conference facilities comply with the Equality Act (incorporating Disability Discrimination Act).

Confidential Meetings?

Unlike radio induction loop systems, Channel Infra-red systems operate on the principal of light and ensure no leakage of signal through the walls for confidential meetings.

In order to simplify the purchasing of IR assisted hearing equipment, we are offering two packaged solutions in a choice of 80m2 or 400m2 approximate coverage. In the case is everything a venue requires in order to meet DDA requirements for the hard of hearing in a simple portable package.

Receivers

The signal can be received in either of two ways:

  • The CH/IR150 headset stethoset works the same way as a cordless headphone with a volume control

Infra-red Sound Broadcast Systems

The CH/IR150L neck loop receives the signal from the IR radiator and a hearing aid user can switch to the ‘T’ position as they would with an induction loop system.
