2006 is a big year for all of us at
Channel, this is the year we celebrate
our 30th anniversary following our
formation in 1976. Please look out
for our promotions as the year
evolves…
Our success over the past three decades has
been built on solid foundations as per
below:
• Employing people who care about
the company
• Employing people with relevant industry
experience and knowledge
• Providing quality products and services
• Investment in staff development
and training
• An absolute commitment to
customer service
Myself and the Channel Management will
never change these principals, and they are,
I believe, some of the many differences that
set us apart from the competition.
Throughout 2006 and beyond it is my
intention to create significant “clear blue
water” between Channel and our
competitors and then demonstrate and
highlight what these differences are and
what advantages you, our customers receive
and benefit from.
• Our existing sales and service teams have
extensive industry experience and
knowledge – a number of team members
have over 20 years experience – who else
can boast that?
• We passionately believe that quality
people make a real difference
• All of our people are incentivised to
provide exceptional customer service via a reward and recognition scheme
(Lucky/deserving winners have stayed on
the Great Wall of China as a result!)
• As a business we have our core values – pride, confidence, belonging and winning. These will become increasingly prevalent
to the benefit of Channel and our
customers from 2006 onwards…
• Investors In People (IIP) and staff
development and training is already an
established culture – this will be further
enhanced
• We care passionately about our chosen
corporate charity – Dreams Come True –
and will continue to support, promote
and raise funds for this deserving cause.
One particularly ambitious difference we will
try and create is one of choice and lifestyle
to our staff and customers.
I strongly believe that visiting inspirational
places and people provides an opportunity
for personal development and growth that
is impossible to achieve in conventional
circumstances. To this end we will be
providing opportunities for customers to join
us on some amazing trips of adventure and
discovery – often with like minded positive
successful people.
We will be visiting, amongst others, the
following:
• Mount Kenya
• The Great Wall of China
• Japan and Mount Fuji
• Colditz Castle
• Russia
• Arctic Circle & The North Pole
I can vouch for the inspirational qualities of
the Great Wall of China as I wrote our
business plan whilst staying (and sleeping)
on it!
Whether you are interested in the above or
not you can be re-assured that Channel will
continue to focus its efforts on providing the
very best levels of service, supplying the best
products and offering the very best value for
money in the industry.
Our extensive product range includes mains
lighting, emergency lighting, fire detection,
nurse call and Disability Discrimination Act
(DDA) equipment – such a suite of products
can bring additional business opportunities
for you, our customers.
Our mission statement is “Investing in
People and Products – Providing Quality and
Service”, I do hope I have managed to
convey our commitment to this vision.
I would like to thank you for the support
you have given Channel over the years and
to reiterate how much we do appreciate it. Our aim is to retain your valued business for
many years to come – we will do everything
possible to achieve this goal.
If I, or any member of the Channel team can
help you then please do contact us at your
convenience.
Kind regards
